L'Atelier d'Art 'Castanet' is situated at Campredon, in the commune of Ferrals les Montagnes, and has been open since August 2001. This small gallery has a permanent exhibition of paintings by Roy and Nicholas Ainsworth, father and son, who moved to this region in 1997.
Roy was a student at Bath Academy of Art, in Wiltshire, England, in the 1950's and went on to teach and lecture in art and design until coming to live in France in 1979.
His works are, in general, abstract, although he admits to being influenced by the wide-ranging landscapes of southern France. He maintains, however, that the visual scene around is itself inescapably abstract.

| Nicholas also came to France in 1979 and, taking advantage of his father's expertise, began to paint eight years ago, whilst living in the Gers. His work is varied in subject and technique, having been inspired by his years in Provence, followed by Gascony, and now by the Minervois and the Haut Languedoc. |
